HPRA Patient Forum Resources

The HPRA Patient Forum is a platform for dialogue and exchange with patients on issues relevant to the regulation of medicines and medical devices and gives patients in Ireland a voice in the regulatory process.

This page provides links to resources jointly developed by forum members and the HPRA for areas of common interest that align with the purpose of the forum. New resources will be posted as they become available over time.

A Guide to Reporting Suspected Safety Issues

Raising awareness among patients and members of the public of the importance of reporting safety issues to the HPRA is a key work item in the HPRA Patient Forum's work plan. To this end, the forum, in collaboration with the HPRA, has produced a guide outlining how patients and members of the public can report safety issues associated with medicines and medical devices to the HPRA.

This guide is called 'Reporting suspected safety issues for medicines and medical devices'. PDF and word versions of the guide are available to download by clicking on the links below.

Patient organisations are encouraged to use this guide to help raise awareness of the importance of reporting safety issues to the HPRA.
